Warning of spot flooding in parts of Tipperary.

Motorists are being advised to take extra care on the roads over the coming days with heavy rain and possible spot flooding forecast in some areas.

Met Éireann predicts frequent spells of heavy rain and thundery downpours countrywide up to Thursday-in particular over parts of Munster.

Falls of up to 60 millimetres are expected today and tomorrow with the risk of some thundery downpours and spot flooding, over Tipperary, Waterford, Cork and Kerry.

The Road Safety Authority is advising motorists to be extra cautious.
