Voters are going to the polls to vote on two referendums – one on whether or not to abolish the Seanad and the second on whether we should create a new Court of Appeal.
Turnout nationally is also below average but here in Tipperary some parts of the county are recording higher turnouts than others.
In North Tipp, Nenagh has between 15 and 18% turnout, Toomevara is almost at 20%, Roscrea has 15%, Templemore has between 18 and 24% turnout.
Borris-o-Leigh has a low turnout of around 14% while Holy Cross is at 16.8%
In the South of the county, Cashel is between 7 and 12%, Thurles is at 15%, Tipp town is around 17% while Clonmel and Carrick-on-Suir have around 15% turnout so far.
