Thousands of daffodils are set to be sold in Tipperary while volunteers are also selling pins and broaches in towns across the Premier.

One of the services to benefit from today will be the charity's Night Nurses scheme, which is the only one of its kind, providing care for cancer patients in their last days in their own homes.

In the past 20 years Daffodil Day has raised over 63 million euro for the Irish Cancer Society.
