Visitor restrictions put in place again at South Tipp General

Strict visitor restrictions have been put in place with immediate effect at South Tipperary General Hospital due to the number of patients who have presented with flu like symptoms, vomiting and diarrhea.

Strictly no children are allowed visit the hospital. Visiting to all wards is prohibited, apart from exceptional circumstances,

The situation is being kept under daily review.

It follows similar protocols which have been put in place at University Hospital Limerick as they attempt to contain the virus there with 11 cases of flu there.
