US Governor rejects stay of execution

The 52 year old was convicted of paying to have his boss beaten to death in 1997 – but has always maintained his innocence.

Among his supporters is actress Susan Sarandon – who played campaigner Sister Helen Prejean in the movie “Dead Man Walking”.
