US Republican Party want to see FBI chief memo

Members of the Republican Party have called to see an alleged memo from former FBI chief James Comey saying that President Trump had asked him to drop an investigation into one of his advisors.

The FBI was looking into alleged links between ex national security advisor Michael Flynn and the Russian government.

The New York Times reports that in a meeting with former FBI director James Comey, the President said “I hope you can let this go”.
