The British Labour Party is making a dramatic policy shift over the UK’s relationship with the EU.
The party’s shadow Brexit secretary Keir Starmer has told the Observer newspaper he backs continued membership of the single market and customs union after the March 2019 deadline.
That would mean keeping free movement and still paying into the EU budget during a transitional period.
