Leakage reduction works are continuing in the Thomastown, Golden and Kilfeacle areas.
When complete it will result in a more reliable water supply according to Uisce Éireann.
Almost 3.5 kilometres of old and damaged water main has been replaced so far with another 2.7 kilometres of pipeline to be upgraded over the coming weeks.
Programme Manager Dave Murphy says their Leakage Reduction Programme should be finished in the area by late summer.
The next phase will involve the replacement of 2.7 kilometers of old and damaged water main from Ballymacady on L4306 and finishing at the bridge at Ballyglasheen junction of the L4306 & L4209.
According to Uisce Éireann when complete this will result in a more reliable water supply.
