Two Tipperary T.D’s miss Friday Dail sittings.

It's claimed two Tipperary T.D's failed to attend any Friday sitting of the Dail from January to June of this year.

The Irish Independent claims Fine Gael's Noel Coonan and Independent Seamus Healy are among 9 T.D's who did not sign-in for any of the six Friday sittings which took place in the first six months of this year.

While he is not recorded as clocking in, Deputy Coonan insists he attended at least two of the Friday sittings between January and the end of June.

Almost two-thirds of T.D's missed half of the Friday sittings which the coalition introduced as part of its political reform plans.

Many T.D's feel the Friday sittings are of little value as there are rarely Dail votes and no questions to Ministers.

Oireachtas authorities have estimated the cost of the sittings at €90,000 per day.
