The HSE has confirmed that the works, at the Dr Meehan Building and St Teresa's Unit will bring a number of different services under the one roof.
The St Luke's Hospital campus on the Western Road in Clonmel has been a hive of activity this week with construction work underway on several buildings on the site.
Following inquiries from Tipp FM News, the HSE today confirmed that two separate projects are underway aimed at bringing children's services into one location along with the centralisation of other health departments.
The Dr Meehan building is being improved to enable Children's services, which are currently spread over four locations to come under the one roof – these include Primary Care Paediatric Services, the Network Disability Teams and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services.
There are also upgrading works in St Theresa's Unit in order to accommodate a range of departments including Occupational Health, Regional Acquired Brain Injury Services, Public Health Nursing and Technical Services.
