TUH Emergency Department facing increased demand

Tipperary University Hospital’s Emergency Department is currently facing increased demand.

Hospital management urges the public to attend only in genuine emergencies and to consult a GP or the Caredoc out-of-hours service when possible.

The Injuries Unit in Cashel is also available Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. While the ED is under pressure, patients with serious injuries or illnesses will be prioritized.

Staff are working to discharge patients as quickly as possible to manage the high volume of cases.
