All Outpatients Appointments at Tipperary University Hospital in Clonmel tomorrow (Monday 6th January) have been cancelled due to the adverse weather conditions.
Management says that all appointments will be rescheduled in due course.
The situation for the remainder of the week will be kept under daily review.
All four Secondary schools in Thurles have already made the decision to stay closed tomorrow for safety reasons.
Students at the Presentation, Ursuline, CBS and Coláiste Mhuire in Thurles will all have a snow day tomorrow to extend their Christmas holidays.
Other Boards of Management around the county are understood to be considering their positions this afternoon.
At least one primary school in Thurles has now made a similar decision – Scoil Ailbhe – with others expected to follow suit.
St Michael’s NS in Holycross has also confirmed it’s decision to stay closed.
As have Ballycahill National School; St John the Baptist Boys and Girls Schools in Cashel; and Bunscoil na Cathrach in Cahir.
Other cancellations for today and tomorrow have started to come in with racing at the Clonmel Greyhound Track called off this evening.
The Hillview Sports Club Bingo is off tomorrow night and the Fethard Day Care Centre will not be open for safety reasons.
