Alexis Tsipras made it clear that his priority is to stay in power for 4 years until the 3rd bailout – when agreed – is implemented.

He admitted it wasn’t a good deal but it was necessary to save Greece, and he also said the worse thing he could do would be to abandon his ship.

He knows that he face a revolt from a sizeable minority within his party over the deal; and he said he’d deal with those rebel MP’s and ministers after the legislation is passed tonight.
