Daily trolley watch figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show that University Hospital in Limerick, which covers North Tipperary is the most overcrowded in the country.
40 people are waiting for a bed at the Dooradoyle facility between the emergency department and wards.

Meanwhile, staff at South Tipp General in Clonmel are also dealing with high numbers of patients waiting on trolleys and chairs….
There are currently 16 people without a bed at the hospital.
