Elsewhere, at the University Hospital in Limerick which covers North Tipperary, 22 people are waiting for a bed.
The Government has provided 50 million euro to deal with the overcrowding crisis as part of its winter initiative.
But Dr. James Gray – Emergency Medical Consultant at Tallaght Hospital – says it's just a drop in the ocean.
