Tributes paid to campaigners who kept CCR open

It had been facing closure at the end of the school year due to dwindling student numbers and increasing costs.

However a rescue package put together by the Save CCR Action Group has seen this averted.

Among the measures being taken to ensure the college remains open is the introduction of day students for the first time in its 112 year history.

Local Fianna Fail Councillor Michael Smith says it was an incredible response.
