The 3 euro levy has been scrapped from today as part of measures to encourage more airlines to develop new routes from Ireland- following a serious drop in passenger numbers.
Transport Minister Leo Varadkar says it’s something they promised the sector a number of years ago if they worked to help boost tourism numbers.
