Enhanced Local Link bus services are on the way between Roscrea and Nenagh.
The improvements are part of the Connecting Ireland Rural Mobility Plan
The 854 previously served Roscrea to Nenagh via Cloughjordan, Shinrone, Moneygall and Toomevara.
TFI Local Link Tipperary General Manager Anthony Moroney outlines the new service.
“What we’re actually after doing is introducing a second vehicle on that service and extending it out as far as Ballybrophy on one side and Silvermines on the other side.
“It’s currently four return trips a day – we’re now upping it to eight return trips per day on the Monday to Saturday service. On the Sunday it will be four again but Silvermines will be brought in – they’re not on every trip but they’re on most of them and Ballybrophy is being served around the times the trains are getting in and out of Ballybrophy.”
The new service will be introduced from March 31st.
