There was a dramatic increase in electric vehicle sales in Tipperary last month.
According to the Society of the Irish Motor Industry, new registrations jumped by 100% with 118 new EVs registered in January.

Overall car sales in Tipp have increased from 890 in January of 2024 to 990 this year.
Automatic vehicles have had a 29% jump accounting for 604 sales in the county.
Nationally, new car registrations are up by 7% with electric car sales up by 20% nationwide.
