The design of the new Shannon Bridge Crossing between Ballina and Killaloe has become clearer.
It’s expected that the new bridge will continue with the arch motif displayed on the current crossing between the towns.
Funding was announced this week for the Crossing, as well as the Killaloe bypass, and upgrading works on the regional road linking Ballina and Birdhill.
A detailed design has yet to be completed, however, Director of Services for Roads Marcus O’ Connor says they’re conscious of getting the aesthetics right….
