People in the Premier County will have an opportunity to see some rare vintage steam engines as part of a week long run from Kildare to Cork.
The 2025 Irish Steam Engine Owners Association week-long event is raising funds for the Irish Wheelchair Association.
Up to twenty rare vintage vehicles are taking part – many over one hundred years old including a Marshall traction engine built in 1908.
They will be leaving Urlingford around 10 o’clock this morning with stops in Littleton, Horse & Jockey with their final destination today being Cashel where they are due to arrive at 6pm.
Tuesday 27 May.
Depart 10am, Urlingford. Stops in Littleton, Horse and Jockey. Arrive 6pm, Cashel.
Wednesday, 28 May.
Depart 10am Cashel. Stops in New Inn. Arrive 5.30pm, Mitchelstown, Co. Cork.
Thursday, 29 May.
Depart 10am, Mitchelstown. Arrive 4pm, Rathcormack, Co. Cork.
Friday 30 May.
Depart 9am, Rathcormack. Stops in Glanmire, Cork City. Ends 4pm, Half Way, Cork
