Traders demand overhaul of crippling rates system

Retailers are calling for reform of the local authority rates system.

Retail Ireland is launching a new policy paper called ‘Tackling the Rates Burden’.

Director, Tom Burke, says the current system is dysfunctional and a threat to the 280 thousand people employed in the sector.
