The 7-kilometre walk goes from near the old Bord na Mona Briquette factory to the Lough Doire Bhile loop.
Walkers have been able to take advantage of the walk along the old bog railway line for the last few months.

Local Cllr Sean Ryan says it’s a great addition to the area and will bring extra tourism and business.
Cllr Ryan says it will provide a major boost to the area as an amenity for locals and as an attraction to bring in more people.
