The way has finally been cleared for Cahir Tourist office to open for the 2017 season.
Despite repeated calls from local tourist operators and elected representatives Minister Shane Ross had refused to sanction staffing grants for the office.
The Tourism Minister has relented with interviews taking place and the office on Castle Street set to open next Tuesday.
However Mayor of the Borough District Andy Moloney says visitor numbers justify a full time tourist office.
