Tom Hayes meets with IFA representatives ahead of CAP discussions

Minister of State in the Department of Agriculture, Tom Hayes met with South Tipperary IFA representatives over the weekend.

South Tipperary County and Livestock chairpersons George Mason and Simon Ryan met Tom Hayes to discuss the impending CAP negotiations in Brussels later this week.

Tom Hayes says he will be going to Brussels with a clear agenda to achieve what is best for Irish farmers.

The talks get underway in Luxembourg today and will move to Brussels on Wednesday.

The EU Council of Agriculture Ministers, the European Parliament's Agriculture Committee and the European Commission will attend the key talks this morning.
