Tipperary Winners At BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition

Cistercian College, Roscrea 6th Year student Richard Tynan won the Display Award, the 1st Senior Individual title in the Technology category and the Analog Devices Technology Award, for his project on 'Advanced Modelling & Infilling Algorithms for 3D Printing'.

The lattter award earned Richard- from Portarlington- a trip to San Francisco, Silicon Valley and Stanford.

Meanwhile, Louise McCormack, Laura Quigley and Claire McCormack from Presentation Secondary School in Thurles took the Highly Commended award for their project on 'Whether the Playing of Music in the Milking Parlour Influences Milking Yield and Quality'.
