Tipperary to benefit from Aldi development in North Cork.

A major development by Aldi in North Cork is likely to provide a jobs spin-off for Tipperary.

The company is pushing ahead with major expansion plans with the creation of 160 new jobs in Cork.

The positions will be created through the opening today of a distribution centre in Mitchelstown which will serve up to 100 shops as part of the company's plans to expand across Ireland.

It will supply Aldi supermarkets in up to 10 counties around the country including Tipperary.
