A Tipperary T.D. is urging householders with septic tanks to register them before the end of the month.
Deputy Noel Coonan says they can register at any local authority office or online at www.protectourwater.ie.

He believes that it makes sense to take this action now in order to protect our water supply, to comply with European obligations and also to avail of the special €5 registration offer.
From the end of the month it will cost €50 to register.
