A Tipperary TD has launched a stinging attack on both the Labour Party and the Unions which are affiliated to it.

Deputy Seamus Healy was speaking during the first stage of the Social Welfare Bill which passed through the Dail last night with the support of all Government TD's.

The remaining stages of the bill will be rushed through the Dáil later today.

Deputy Healy says it's time for the Unions to return the Labour Party to its roots.
