Three schools in County Tipperary have failed to file annual attendance reports for 3 out of 5 years.

They are among dozens of schools across the country which did not meet a legal requirement to report pupil attendance figures.

A report in today's Irish Examiner shows that Lissenhall National School near Nenagh and Kilross National School near Tipperary Town failed to return attendance records for the school years 06/07, 07/08 and 08/09.

Meanwhile Scoil Aonghusa Special school in Cashel did not file attendance records for 07/08, 08/09 and 09/10.
