A man with an address in County Tipperary has been jailed for 4½ years for a series of pub break-ins.
Eddie Wing of Roscrea has previously been acquitted of the killing of Offaly publican Matt Farrell.

During several of the pub burglaries he broke open cigarette machines, tills and a jukebox to steal from them. Wing also took money from the collection boxes
He took a total of €11,000 worth of cash, cigarettes and jewellery during the burglaries to fund the drugs habits of a local group of heroin users.
