Tipperary racehorse trainer due back in court.

The 49 year old of Garryduff, South Lodge, Carrick-on-Suir is facing charges regarding the alleged possession of banned animal medicines.

Philip Fenton is facing a total of 8 charges relating to the alleged possession of unlicenced animal remedies at his yard at Garryduff on January 18th 2012

It includes possession of Nitrotain and Ilium Stanabolic which both contain anabolic steroids.

At a hearing last month, Fenton’s legal team were given four weeks to file submissions on issues they claim to have found on summonses detailing the prosecution.

The case is listed for mention at Carrick-on-Suir District Court this morning, where the submissions are expected to be discussed.

Fenton has not entered a plea in the case.
