The trial of a Tipperary man accused of shooting dead Shane Rossiter has heard the deceased rang him that night for drugs.
Maurice “Mossy” Power aged 31 of Dranganbeg, Kilmoyler, Cahir denies murdering Mr Rossiter after a house party on Church Lane, Golden on October 17, 2012.
The case has now gone into legal argument and will resume next week.
Giving evidence Rachel Keating, who has been living in Church Lane for three years, said she had only known Shane Rossiter a week.
She said the 29 year old told her of his history with the accused but when he confronted him in a bar “Mossy” said he didn't want to fight.
On the night of his death, Ms Keating said Shane came into her room and while they were talking he rang the accused to get him to deliver a bag of weed adding they were chatting like friends.
She fell asleep around 2.30 and was awoken by the news Shane had been shot.
She also stated that Paul McCarthy, who the court earlier heard fled the scene minutes before Shane was shot when he spotted a gun sticking out of a car outside the house, moved in with her when a relation was murdered and his own life was threatened.
