Tipperary TD Alan Kelly has also denied claims that he has had a major row with the Finance Minister over efforts to tackle the housing crisis.
The Portroe native says he is merely trying to do the work he was elected to do.
Minister Alan Kelly has hit back at claims he is being blamed for many of the Governments woes.
The Labour Party deputy leader has in particular been under fire over the housing crisis as numbers on local authority housing lists in Tipperary and across the country continue to grow.
The issue of increasing private rents has also been laid at Minister Kelly’s door – however he says a programme is underway to tackle both problems
There have also been many radio and newspaper headlines suggesting a rift between the Environment Minister and his counterpart in Finance Michael Noonan in relation to budget proposals to tackle housing.
However Alan Kelly has flatly rejected this saying he’s never had a row with Michael Noonan in his life.
Many critics say Minister Kelly has a habit of rubbing people up the wrong way and that he has an abrasive personality.
The Portroe native says he merely likes to get things done.
