Tipperary man withdraws unfair dismissal claim.

A County Tipperary man has withdrawn a claim for unfair dismissal from his job as a security guard at JP McManus's mansion.

John Alymer of Ballyvistea, Emly had been working as a security guard at the €100 million mansion at Martinstown Stud in County Limerick.

A hearing of the Employment Appeals Tribunal last November heard that 32 year old Mr Alymer had been found asleep in his hut while at work.

He brought an unfair dismissal claim against JP McManus's wife Noreen.

The hearing had been due to resume in Limerick today but the matter has apparently now been withdrawn.
