A Tipperary man shot dead in the U.S in March may have been killed by a former employee.

Tom Walsh was shot dead as he was closing up a restaurant he managed near Daytona Beach, Florida.

It was originally thought the 43 year old Templemore native was killed during a robbery as cash was also taken.

However a double suicide last week may hold links to Tom Walsh's death.

29 year old James Seagreaves and his 20 year old girlfriend Kayla Nemoto died after apparently taking their own lives following a shoot out with police.

He had been released from jail in early March and is thought to have carried out a spate of armed robberies including the one at the Mainstreet Grill.

It has now emerged that Tom Walsh fired Seagreaves two years ago from the same restaurant and that the former employee held a grudge over the incident.
