Tipperary man behind major jobs announcement for Limerick IT company

A County Tipperary man is behind a software development and IT specialist company which has announced 50 new jobs.

Action Point Technology Group based at Plassey Technological Park in Limerick was founded in 2005 by Newport native John Savage and fellow U.L Computer Systems degree course graduate David Jeffreys.

The new jobs will be mostly in the software development side of the company’s operations, with the first phase of the expansion, incorporating seven of the 50 posts, currently being finalised. 

The next phase of recruitment, of 30 software developers, begins immediately, with the remainder to come on stream between now and the end of 2014.
