The alarm was raised shortly before 1 o'clock this morning when the blaze was spotted at the house in Littleton.
Two units from Thurles and one from Templemore attended the scene of the blaze on Derrynaflan Avenue.

The house is used by the local community together with Tipperary Regional Youth Service and Barnardos.
Five people living in an adjoining house had to be evacuated.
The fire crews were eventually stood down at 3.50am.
