Tipperary Gardaí call on Government to live up to promises on pay deal

Mid ranking Gardaí have voted overwhelmingly in favour of new pay proposals. 

95% of the AGSI members who voted were in favour of accepting the Labour Court deal.

The GRA – which represents rank and file Gardaí – voted in favour of the pay agreement yesterday. 

Justice Minister Frances Fitzgerald welcomed the news.

Meanwhile rank & file Gardaí in Tipperary say the Government now has to live up to its part of the deal which averted strike action.

Members of the Garda Representative Association yesterday gave the green light to a new pay deal having been on the brink of taking industrial action just a few weeks ago.

However speaking on Tipp Today GRA Rep for Tipperary Tom Finnan said Gardaí gave done their bit.
