Tipperary Gaelscoileanna still await permanent accommodation

Two Gaelscoileanna in County Tipperary are among a number still waiting for permanent accommodation years after they were formed.

Gaelscoileanna Teo, the national co-ordinating body for schools teaching through Irish, has expressed disappointment that a large number of Gaelscoil's missed out in the recent list of building projects.

Among them were Gaelscoil Chluain Meala which was established in 1994 and Gaelscoil Charraig na Siúire which was set up four years later.

Gaelscoileanna Teo is seeking an urgent meeting with the Forward Planning Unit of the Department of Education to discuss the conditions in the many schools seeking permanent accomodation.
