The father of a Tipperary teenager who suffered critical injuries in a car crash has spoken of his pride in how the family coped.

Conor Devlin from Annacarty went through months of rehab following the crash on December 3rd 2012 and has made a good recovery.

However the family found it difficult to get the help and support Conor needed – he is now campaigning for greater awareness and improved services for teenagers with an Acquired Brain Injury.

The 15 year old recently addressed the Oireachtas Health Committee to highlight the lack of supports available for teenagers like him.

His father Michael says it's been a long road for them and without the efforts of his wife Catriona the outcome might not have been as positive.

Michael is also hoping that their campaign to secure better service will mean that others will not have to go through what they did.
