Tipperary families to play host to Chernobyl children

500 Chernobyl children are due to arrive in Ireland this weekend with many of them heading for Tipperary.

Every year children from Belarus come to Ireland for respite from the radiation which they are exposed to as a result of the Chernobyl explosion.

Once again many of them will be staying with host familes from across County Tipperary.

In all more than 2,000 Chernobyl children are due to visit Ireland this summer.
