Tipperary car sales below national average

New car sales in Tipperary are down 14% for the year – 2% worse than the national figure.

Up to the end of July 2,247 new cars had been registered in County Tipperary.

According to figures from the Society of the Irish Motor Industry ten thousand fewer new cars have been sold across the country this year.

However car sales for July were up 9% on the same month last year.

Nearly ¾ of new cars sold in Ireland are diesel with ¼ powered by petrol engines.
