Tipperary animal shelters get funding boost

Several animal welfare groups across Tipperary have been given an early Christmas present from the Department of Agriculture.

Over 82 thousand euro has been allocated to eight welfare charities in the county to help towards running costs…

Paws animal rescue, based in Mullinahone, has been granted 28 thousand euro while Tipperary South SPCA in Clonmel is to get 14 thousand euro.

Andrea Patterson from the Roscrea SPCA, which has been allocated 15 thousand 400, says that the money is essential to their doors staying open
