Four tourism initiatives in Tipperary are set to benefit from more than €1 million in funding as part of a major investment by Fáilte Ireland under the EU Just Transition Fund.
The funding, announced this week, is part of a wider €2.3 million package for 18 tourism ventures across the Midlands region. Tipperary projects have secured the largest portion of the grant aid.
Among the recipients is Noan Country House B&B, which will receive €248,000 to convert a stable block on its estate into two two-storey, self-catering lodges.
The Eye of Nature project, which aims to educate visitors on the importance of microbial life in soil through interactive displays and microscopes, has been awarded over €112,500.
Forest Lane Lodges will benefit from a €300,000 grant to support the development of three new two-bedroom family lodges.
Meanwhile, the Carrick-on-Suir Development Association has secured more than €350,000 to transform the local Heritage Centre into a modern, immersive cultural attraction that offers interactive experiences for visitors.
The funding forms part of the EU Just Transition Fund programme, co-financed by the Government of Ireland and the European Union, aimed at supporting economic diversification and sustainable tourism development in the Midlands.
