Roads in County Tipperary are in worse condition than those of neighbouring counties.

The revelation was made at yesterday’s meeting of Nenagh Municipal District Council.

Funding for regional roads was cut from €600 million to under €300 million in the budget following the economic crash.

Councillor John Carroll told the council those cuts are being felt across the county and something now needs to be done.
