CEO of Tipperary County Council Sinead Carr says Sharon’s contribution to the local authority has been immense.

“She will be missed. She’s an exceptional public servant – she’s given a lot of service to North Tipperary County Council initially and then subsequently worked with Tipperary County Council.

“Hugely dedicated to her job and really committed to Tipperary as a county. I think Sharon has left a really positive lasting impact on the areas that she’s worked.

“From my perspective one of the things I’d recognise most about Sharon is her level of respect for the elected members and her understanding of the space that they work in and her attempt every time to address their concerns and do it in a realistic manner.”
