Sinn Féin representatives unhappy with deferral of Budget meeting

Sinn Fein Councillors in Tipperary are calling for greater transparency among political parties and those running in the general election.

Councillors Davy Dunne and Anne Marie Ryan claim some election candidates are hiding their potentially unpopular voting intentions until after the polls.

They’ve called a decision by Tipperary County Council to defer a vote on proposals to increase rates in the premier county as a “cynical move” amidst a cost of living crisis.

Speaking with Tipp FM, Councillor Dunne said that candidates need to make their stances known to voters before the election.
