Road safety improvements for the Ragg

A new footpath will be put in at the Ragg to improve road safety in the area.

The well-known landmark on the Thurles to Nenagh road has seen a safety improvement scheme carried out last year.

But local residents pointed out that there was still no safe way for people to walk to the Ballycahill Road on the busy road.

Local Cllr Micheál Lowry says funding has been granted to address that need this year with a new footpath from Revel at the Ragg to the Ballycahill road to improve safety for walkers on the busy road from Thurles to Borrisoleigh.
