Illegal dumping is an ongoing problem according to a North Tipp County Councillor.
One of the latest incidents was on a popular nature trail in Silvermines where bags of fish heads were discovered on two occasions.
Independent Councillor Pamela Quirke O’Meara says there are also dumping problems in her area around Templederry.
However she told Tipp Today earlier it seems to be a county wide issue.
“We have the most beautiful picturesque countrywide but its so distressing when you go for a walk with the family on a Sunday and you see a lot of rubbish being dumped in really, reallt beautiful areas.
“It’s very, very disheartening. I mean where I live just a couple of kilometres in the road there’s a place where there seems to be dumping on an ongoing basis – over the years things like couches being dumped and old toys.”
